Back a month or two ago I experienced my iPhone crashing while opening messages, now it’s become such a hassle to do I only message people on my iPad. Does anyone know how I can get my iPhone to work again?

With your Message app crashing, start by restarting iPhone, make sure you're running the latest software in Settings > General > Software Update. If these steps have been completed, reach out to Apple directly to investigate this further for a solution.
