I can't transfer iPhone videos

I can Sometimes connect my iphone12pro max to my window 10 pro laptop with a USB cable & sometimes I can't. when I see apple icon, I can copy some photos to my laptop as normal then stop suddenly, but if I try to copy a video, it starts to copy, and then a message comes up that says my device stopped functioning. My phone storage is full and I can't do it via iCloud or google drive, It's my first time with an iPhone and I'm really annoyed with my first iPhone experience, someone can help?

Try ensuring that neither your phone nor your computer sleep.

Phone (settings > Display & Brightness) change auto lock to never temporarily

This shouldn't affect anything but your Windows machine may see the device sleep and stop processing
