AirPods lagging while listening to music and screen off

Hello everybody!

I’ve searched for the answer on internet but without success, so i’m gonna ask to the experts!

since some days (maybe 3/4) my phone has a connection lag with my AirPods (second gen) when i listen to music and my screen is off. The lag consists of a delay in music transmission that is regained as soon as I turn on my screen.

my device is updated to the last version and I’ve also done a phone recovery but today I’ve had the same problem. Although, when I use them while chatting, web browsing or watching videos they work just fine. I don’t know if I should update my AirPods (if i can do it manually), the actual version is 4C165.

If i should do something by pc I’ll be pleased if you consider that I have a Windows device.
