Why is AOL So Slow on Safari in Mac Book Pro

I see this question and no one really has it answered. Today I did the following and it seemed to fix it at least for now. Got to Safari / Preferences / Make Sure you check the box at the bottom of the dialog box to show develop on menu. Then go to Develop / Empty Caches. After that I still go back and Click on Safari / Clear History. I believe the empty caches is the part of this that really takes the throttle off of the aol from loading / loading emails / sending emails.

Friends don't let friends do AOL... so 1985.
