After much searching, following incorrect instructions, and becoming increasingly frustrated, I finally called Apple. Apparently, the subscriptions created through Zinio's In-App purchases do not automatically renew. I have used Zinio for years and was accustomed to turning of the auto-renew after subscribing. No need to do that anymore according to my support call with Apple today.
