Do you mean when you are posting a question? Like here:
If the system works properly, which is about half the time, you change by clicking "Choose a different device" to get the full list of devices registered to the Apple ID which which your sign in here. Device with other Apple IDs will never show in that list—when it works.
The other half of the time you get a generic list of some really odd products you don't own, and none of the above applies. It's been that way since Dec 2018.
Because of the ongoing foibles with the device list, is it very important to include the details of your device in the body of your question to prevent a protracted game of "20 Questions" with those trying to help you. Example:
"I have a 2019 iMac 21.5-inch running macOS 10.15 and I've having trouble with..."
or
"My iPhone SE (2020) running iOS 15.4.1 is not...."
Rememeber the we are your fellow end users, not Apple, so have no way to remotely see your device. We have to rely on the person asking the question for important details.
