Help. Restore to factory.

I don’t know what happened to my MacBook Air but my suspicions are that it tried to update and got interrupted and now it won’t load anything. It won’t even allow me to sign in. So I have done a restore and I can’t even get this to work. It says there no disk issues so I don’t know what to do now. When I try to restore the is it doesn’t do anything. There is no backup for this laptop so I just need to start over.

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

If you have no Recovery Panel, here is the way to start over: How to create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support

Page down for using the flash drive to install the OS

But having no backups is going to mean you lose everything
