can't login to apple id

My 2nd time asking, I had an apple Id since I got my first ipad air, and I had to reset it cause it was full, it logged out my apple id, now to log in, I need a phone number, which doesn't work anymore, I remember the email and password, I have ipad air and I cannot use account recovery because I need IPadOS 15 or macOS Monterey, I have neither of those, ipad air last update is iOS 12.5.5, I spent money on this account, is there a way to get my account back with a different phone number?

The account recovery article below doesn't say you need IOS 15. You do have to have 2 Factor Authentication enabled.

Read the article. You don't need IOS 15.

I remember the email and password,

If you remember your email and password, then you should be able to login.

Or do you mean can't login to iCloud?

ipad air last update is iOS 12.5.5,

Not helping, I can't even connect to the apple id here, I can't sign in, it asks me for a phone number which I don't have anymore, and I had icloud when I was using iOS 12.5.5, but that's not what im on about, I want to log in to my old apple id, but I can't cause of the old phone number which doesn't work anymore

you sure? And what will account recovery even do? If it resets password or email I don't need it, cause I know both of them.
