Mute on start

Recently my iPhone 12 is starting all apps with videos on mute. I have to turn up the sound. I have noticed this with YouTube, SiriusXM, Twitter... How do I get it to keep the sound level I set for apps generally like before?

IPhone 14 Pro Playing Videos at Full Volume When Muted. To clarify, not only is my 14 Pro set to silent using the side switch, but I’ve also lowered the volume on the speakers to absolute 0. Sometimes when playing videos from the web, twitter, YouTube, etc the video’s sound will begin playing at FULL BLAST from the phone’s speakers. Sometimes it goes back to mute a second later, but sometimes I have to close the app and re-open it to fix it. I would very much like not to be occasionally jump scared by my phone, and I hate being that guy with his speakers on full blast on the plane >:(

Sound cutting out on apps after taking phone xalls I have an iPhone SE. if I’m listening to a podcast or BBC sounds and then make or take a phone call, when I return to my audio app the sound then repeatedly cuts out every 20 -30 seconds. It’s super annoying. I have to shut down my phone a few times to make it work again. Is this a glitch you can fix please?

Muted apps Hallo and happy new year , last 6 months my 11 pro max mutes certain apps itself, like mutes audio of Instagram stories or Facebook ... my iPhone is always unmuted (from side switch) and full volume... it’s very annoying every time I open an app to volume up even if it’s full just to replay storie or video so I can hear it ..

This appears to be an issue with the Apple phone OS since the change has occurred to all apps at the same time.
