Color on my iPad and screen burn in

They colors on my ipad2 air are distorted and burning into the screen. How do I get this back to normal?

If the screen colours appear to be distorted or unnatural, you need to check some key Accessibility settings that are intended to compensate for specific colour-vision issues:


Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size




Ensure that all settings enclosed within the red box above are switched OFF/Disabled.


Otherwise, depending upon your installed version of iOS/iPadOS, you’ll need to look at your Dark Mode settings:

Settings > Display & Brightness > [Appearance]




As for burn-in / persistence, an image must have been continuously displayed on the screen for a very, very long period for “burn-in” to occur. While rare, LCD screen technology is not totally immune to “burn-in.


In the unlikely event that this phenomenon should be encountered, it may be permanent. Some reports suggest that leaving the iPad fully shut down - and unused - for many days might reduce the effect.
