Ok my group text does not have either Add Contact or the Remove option - what do I do?

One thing to note on the previously linked page is the mention at the top that "You can’t add or remove people in group SMS/MMS messages and you can't add or remove someone if they're using a non-Apple device." Is that the case with this current conversation, or is it a completely iMessage-based conversation? The difference being that SMS/MMS conversations can include users of non-Apple devices and the correspondence taking place is done through SMS and not iMessage. What is the difference between iMessage and SMS/MMS? does a great job of breaking down the visual and technical differences between the two types of conversations.

If anyone in the group is using SMS and not iMessage you cannot add or remove anyone from the group.

When you say that you don't have the option to add or remove contacts, what exactly do you see when following the guidance from article, Add and remove people in group text messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support (CA)? Lastly, are you the creator of the group text message?
