there is a list of accent colors which are all dark! Is there any way to add to them ? or am I stuck with what is there? I can change highlight colors but Accents you cannot??yes No??

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 12.3
In System Preferences > General, Apple provides selectable and fixed choices for Highlight and Accent colors. I am using macOS 12.3.1 and I can select a color from either category. They are the same colors in Light or Dark appearance mode, though the latter will seem to make them appear dimmer against a dark panel background.
Just figured it out..!!!! Had increase contrast on in accessibility settings/display... Seems good now.. So much to learn but its fun.. Yellow now....

If you are referring to the accent colors in System Preferences > General, no, you can't change or add to them.

Im surprised you cannot... There is no yellow accent color they all are dark even in light mode... We should be able to change the PRE set colors (accent, may suggest it to apple)
There is a Yellow accent color next to Green. Dark yellow if you like.
