Using a mounting device

Hey guys, so Ive just started using a device called Mountie + to mount my iPad to my MacBook Screen for SideCar. When I mount it to the bottom of the iPad I see it faintly glow, indicating pressure is on the screen. Obviously It needs to apply pressure so that it can grip it but Im just wondering if this could cause any long term damage to the lcd or any other component of the screen.

I have the same question about my MacBook screen if anyone knows about that? Its the new 14".

Thanks

iPad, iPadOS 15

Hi legit_dove,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities and sharing that information about what happens with your iPad in the mounting device. If you are seeing a faint glow, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer and let them know what's happening when using their device with your iPad.

Here is a link with Important safety information for iPad that you may find helpful too.

For your MacBook screen, we would need to know more details about what's happening.

We look forward to hearing back from you!
