iPhone 13 sound quality is not good on hands free

I just got this phone and people are complaining about the sound quality when I am speaking to the via speaker or hands free in my car. Never had an issue before. I can hear them but they say I drift in and out and the call sounds like I am in a wind tunnel. I have read others complaining, is there a solution? The mic seems to pic up background noise. I know apple 13 does not have the noise cancellation feature.

Hey Ruthie235,

First, we'd suggest trying the steps in this article as it may help resolve issues with your mic: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working

If that doesn't help, we'd suggest using the Voice Memo app on your iPhone to record and playback a voice memo to see if you notice any quality issues there. That will help determine if the issue is related to your mic or your cellular service.

Thank you for your reply. I have done the tests where you record your voice using all of the mic’s and it works fine. The issue only seems to happen or blue tooth or when I use my speaker on my phone when calling or receiving a call. I cannot confirm if this happens if I was to put the phone to my ear, I will try and see if it is any better. My phone does show that it is connected to wifi and sometimes connects to 5 g or lte. I cannot say if it is better when connected to 5g vs lte yet either.
