I have an iPhone X. Face-Id is not working, and hasn’t for 2 years or more. I deal with it. I do like to clear all notifications from my screen, and now there is one telling me something I already know, and WON’T GO AWAY.
ive been notified. Thanks. Now get the red dot notification OFF the system Preferences icon!!

It sounds like you're having issues with both your notifications and Face ID. If you haven't already, we recommend using the steps in the resource below which are aimed at resolving Face ID issues:
If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro
If you receive any errors and are unable to set up Face ID, you'll want to Contact Apple Support for possible service.
To help remove badges on your app icons, you'll want to go to Settings > Notifications > select the app > disable Badges.
