Unknown Accessory Detected

I got an Apple Watch, but the time it said the unknown item was with me was before I got it. I’m not sure if it was my Apple Watch or not, but it can’t connect to play sound or learn about this item. It won’t let me disable it either.

Hi tammilyn,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We see you were linked from the article "What to do if you get an alert that an AirTag, Find My network accessory, or set of AirPods is with you". As noted in the article " This alert will display only if a set of AirPods or a Find My network accessory is detected near you, not an AirTag. These could be borrowed AirPods, or AirPods inadvertently left behind by a friend or family member. " Do you have AirPods? If so, we would recommend the steps below:

1-Place AirPods in their charging case and close the lid

2-Open Settings > Bluetooth.

3-Select AirPods, then tap Forget

4-Reset AirPods

5-Re-pair AirPods

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.
