I am locked out of Facebook and it keeps asking for my 6-digit code from my code generator. I cannot find any such thing on my phone.

Facebook My daughter accidentally deleted my app and data. When I try to get into the account it is locked with a code generator. Is that on my phone? Has anyone had something so dumb happen and actually succeeded at getting it back? I only care about the photos. Not all of them we’re taken on an apple device. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have tried FB and after 7 months still can’t get past the authentication code Thanks
