Have you tried Assistive Touch? Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Check if "Hey Siri" is on.
2. Just say, "Hey Siri," then immediately make your request. No need to pause and wait for Siri to respond between saying, "Hey Siri" and your request.
3. If Siri cuts off without answering, try setting up "Hey Siri" to help recognize your voice.
4. By default, Siri won't respond if your iPhone is face down or covered. If desired, turn on Always Listen for "Hey Siri."
5. Alternatively, activate Siri by pressing and holding the side button on the right until she appears, then make your request. In this mode Siri may perform an action or display information without speaking. For longer requests, press and hold the Side button until you're finished with your request.
