Hey ancelyn,
We can certainly understand the concern and are happy to help out if you're having issues recording audio or video on your iPhone.
You mentioned being unable to record audio and video in the Camera and Snapchat apps. To clarify, is this affecting both the front and the rear camera?
Be sure to go through all the troubleshooting steps outlined here, as they're best equipped to address both audio and video recording issues, and isolate which microphone is having the issue:
If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support
Clear the microphones
1. Remove any screen protectors, films, or cases from your iPhone.
2. Clear any debris from the openings of your iPhone.
If people can't hear you on phone or FaceTime calls
1. Open the Voice Memos app.
2. Tap the Record button, speak at the bottom of your phone, then stop the recording.
3. When you play back the memo, you should hear your voice clearly.
4. If you don't hear your voice clearly, contact Apple Support.
If people can't hear you when you're using speakerphone
1. Open the Camera app.
2. Record a video while speaking at the top of your iPhone.
3. Tap the camera chooserto switch to the other camera. Then record another video while speaking at the top of your iPhone.
4. When you play back the videos, you should hear your voice clearly.
5. If you don't hear your voice clearly, contact Apple Support.
If the microphone doesn't work in a specific app
1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
2. Make sure that the app is enabled.
3. If the app has permission to access your microphone, or if it isn't listed, contact the app developer.
