Final Cut Pro won't let me add transitions to my timeline

I've been editing videos in FCP for awhile now. The last one I did was last month. I'm working on one today and it WILL NOT LET ME add transitions to my timeline. It will not let me double click on the edit point either to get the "pop up" message. I've made space. A little, a moderate amount and A LOT just to see if I could get anything....NOTHING! I'm on a deadline and need some HELP!

When I do that it puts the transition in the music timeline.

Click on the edit point

or the clip

before you double click the transition. The first applies the transition to the edit, the second applies the transition to both ends.

It's a known bug.

Select the edit point and double-click the transition.

It changed, due to a bug, in 10.6.2. We all hope it gets fixed in 10.6.3 - hence the more people report to feedback the better.
