I'm trying to find out why I can't send an email to a new contact I have with an email address ending in @talktalk.net. Does anyone have any up to date information please. This new customer receives emails from other people on a regular basis.

Check out the reasons why Mail might not be working on your Mac: If people don’t receive emails you send using Mail on Mac. You'd want to adjust any way you're sending or the size of the email. Based on what you've mentioned, it does sound like it might be related to their server and it might resolve your issue.
We'd also suggest the person you're trying to send the email to check this link: PROBLEMS WITH TALKTALK MAIL. They might be able to adjust some of their settings and correct this for you.
