Microsoft Solitaire collection

As a regular player of MSC I am now having problems selecting games. When I select a game the screen goes black and I get a small white ball that goes into a semi circular pattern. (Similar to the old fashioned egg timer display) this would suggest that the program is being loaded. In actual fact the game never loads and the circular dots continue to move in a semi circular pattern.

I run the games on an iPad Pro (12.9-inch) 2nd generation tablet. Running iOS 15.4.1
