iPad Air power button

I am afraid to use my iPad as the power button gets so hot! What can I do to resolve this problem?

iPad Air button hot I have an iPad Air, and for about 4 days the power Button in the top right corner is hot to touch. You can put your finger on it for about 5-10 seconds until you get a noticeable discomfort. apple support online said I had to take it in for diagnostics. diagnostics said “battery fine, temp fine” I assume the temp is the processing temp and not the button. The so called tech specialist at the store said it was “not too hot”. Although my children, wife and a random friend who was in the store disagree with this specialist. im back on the phone with online support, they referred me to safety, they are now referring to engineering. but. I really just want an iPad without a hot button as my kids use it for school. any advice? Has anyone else had this experience? I normally have good outcomes with apple.. but this seems to be going nowhere
