My speaker configuration for 5.1.2 isn't working properly

I have my Mac Studio Pro Max running Monterey 12.3.1 connected to a Yamaha RX 685 Dolby ATMOS receiver through the HDMI port on my Mac. When I open the MIDI control to route the audio, I select 5.1.2 and then [Configure Speakers]. Everything is fine until I get to the middle ceiling speakers. When I click on the "Test" button, no sound plays on the ceiling speakers. What am I doing wrong?
