Applecare+ international cover

Hi - I just bought a new Macbook Air in Australia but I'm a resident of France. Should I buy Applecare+ here before I go to France next week, or should I buy it in France? Is there any difference?

I do not know Apple's terms in other countries, but you need to make sure that Applecare+


  1. is available in France, and
  2. has to be purchased within 60 days of purchase of the device.


Check the french Apple site for terms.

That is up to you. Although the coverage is worldwide, there may be instances where Apple will only cover the damage in the country of purchase (of the device). You will need to clarify with Apple - we are only other consumers who do not know all the legal implications that could occur on foreign countries. Start your research here:
