Applications not working in OS Monteray

All the apps in OS Monterey have stopped working , I cannot access safari or any other apps

iMac 21.5″, macOS 12.3

Try starting in Safe Mode and see if you can run apps.
How to use safe mode on your Mac – Apple Support (UK)
Restart normally and see if you can run apps.
If you haven't updated to MacOS 12.3.1 see if you can.

I crashed my iMac and restarted and managed to get into time machine and restored to an earlier date and this solved the problem, all working fine now , thanks for your help.
