Hello, so I installed CleanMyMac X like 2 days ago, and I got a notification that my iMac has OSX.Pirrit adware. I haven't seen any problems or inappropriate ads, but I'm still wondering how I got it. I didn't install any suspicious softwares I only install things like discord, steam or blender from official sites. I even tried to remove the adware manually, but I didn't found any suspicious software. Any help? Could it be a fake notification?

You're welcome. FWIW, the only app recommended to detect adware/malware is Malwarebytes. You can download the free trial. Once the trial period is over you can continue to use it for free without real time protection. Which you don't really need anyway.
This provides manual instructions for removing iOSX.Pirrit. The link also recommends a removal app. Try using the manual method. DO NOT USE THE REMOVAL APP

This is the EXACT same website that I visited while trying to remove it manually. But I read that in google and other websites like google, inappropriate pop-up ads are showing up and I don't see any ads on sites like google. So I probably don't have any adware, but thanks anyway.
