I have a new MacBook and while setting up checked my Apple ID to find that the phone number listed is my wife's. I added my own number and wish to delete that of my wife. Under the contacts box there is a + and - box. I highlighted the phone number to delete and clicked on the - sign but nothing happened. I clicked on the - sign and then highlighted the number but again nothing happened. How do I delete the number please?
You need to update your contact details at: https://appleid.apple.com The minus sign will be greyed out.

It should but I cannot find the info I want. It should be absolutely dead simple and intuitive but it is not. There is no harm in the unwanted mobile number being stored it is just that I should be able to delete it. I have bigger problems to sort with the Pro and will concentrate on them. Thanks for your suggestion.
