How to stop downloading (Mail) messages - my mail is up to 22K old emails?

The simple way to stop having mail downloading to your MacBook Pro is to delete your mail account. Boom, no more email will be received.

A kilobyte (KB) is 1,024 bytes.

A megabyte (MB) is 1,024 kilobytes.

A gigabyte (GB) is 1,024 megabytes.

A terabyte (TB) is 1,024 gigabytes.

if this is a count as in 22,000 —IMAP mail syncs with the server yes. Mail does not take up much space...
