Does.apple watch series 7 have an IMEI number?

The watch wss returned in error to O2 returns but O2 insist on an IMEI number but apple staff say the watch does not have an IMEI number and the serial number should be sufficient, tring since 12 January to get watch back from O2

IMEI is a cellular identifier, and is available for and necessary for cellular connections. Only.
If this was a Wi-Fi Watch and not cellular, there is no IMEI, and O2 are clueless.
only the cellular models have IMEI numbers it makes no sense for wifi or bluetooth
