Somehow my son has been removed from my people album. When I open his picture, the circle does not appear to identify him. How can I manually add him?

I'm not sure how he would've been removed from People, but you can try the view the following link: Use the People album in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Try viewing the seciton on adding people and let me know if thi works or not.
