M1 issue with RAID5 configuration (OWC and SoftRaid)

Hello !

I've got a thunderbolt 8 OWC enclosure with 2x4 disks in RAID5 (So 2 volumes).

They are drives by SoftRaid app from OWC.

It was working fine on my Mac Pro 2013.

Since I move to Mac Studio and want to Unmount the volumes the MacStudio shut down completely and reboot...

I contacted OWC they don't know why.

The only solution... do a new volume...

Any suggestion here ?

Thanks !

Hi Jean,

Since you're connecting your external drive with your new Mac Studio via Thunderbolt cable, have you had a chance to test a different cable? If not, let's see if that resolves the issue. Have you checked your macOS software for available updates? If not, let's start there: How to upgrade to macOS Monterey - Apple Support Test to see if the issue is resolved. Let us know if you run into any error messages.

Take care.
