Camera - Formats - Most Compatible (jpg)

Recently I moved from one iPhone SE (2016) to another iPhone SE (2016) (both with iOS 15.4.1) and copied all settings over. Very slick...except that it dawned on me that my photos are no longer jpg. They are heic. I started looking for the setting to change it and couldn't find it anywhere. Finally looked online where the answer is, go to Settings, Camera, Formats. I go to Settings, Camera, but there is no Formats option. What gives?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Thank you for that thought! I am now realizing my confusion. I had forgotten that some photos on my phone were air-dropped from my wife's new phone. Hence the heic format. (I really do wish that Apple would make it easier to keep photos in different folders based on where they came from, but that is another discussion completely). It appears like you are completely correct, my phone is not capable of heic. Thank you!
