I have been defrauded by someone using my Apple Pay to buy something on my debit card

I have been frauded on a monzo card , apparently though Apple Pay, I did not lose my phone but someone drained my account. When I asked monzo to assist they said it wasn’t fraudulent because payment was done via Apple Pay and therefore it couldn’t be fraud ... has this ever happened to anyone and can this happen - I’m very distressed !

You have to solve with that 'someone' yourself.

Contact your bank, they will know who that 'someone' is.

Maybe the bank can still reclaim your money from that 'someone'?

Also report to the police.

Did you have the card in your Apple Wallet?

Are you sharing an iCloud account with anyone?

If the card was in your wallet, and you are not sharing your account with anyone, it's not possible that someone else could have added that card to Apple Pay on another device as it can not be linked to more than one iCloud account at a time.

In that case if the transactions were made through Apple Pay, they had to be using your phone.
