Force shut/restart

I was busy in a zoom session and ran out of battery power (did not have my power cable on me).

next day plugged into a power source but all I get is a grey/white screen and don’t seem to be able to shut or open it.

tried the alt/com/esc to force quit but my antique is not budging. Any suggestions?

unwanted shut down Last couple of days my Mini has been shutting down on it's own after I leave it for a while. It goes to screen saver as usual but then shuts down completely. Usually, I can start it with a touch of my mouse or the keyboard. But instead now, facing a black screen, I have to do a full restart. Perhaps I've done something in system prefs? I can't find anything. I had been exploring the accessibility section but I can't find anything that would have done this. We had a power fail in our bldg and this seems to have happened after that. MacBook pro M1 suddenly turned off and won’t turn back on Out of the blue my MacBook pro m1 went black and won’t trun back on. Tried everything to restart, but didn’t work. All I get is a black screen. Caps lock is working and the charger is showing green. Anything I can do to get it working? Thanks

Never mind, seems that pressing Ctrl/alt/power button did the job.
