Somehow, over the last day or two, on my MacBook Pro with macOS Monterey, it started taking screenshots every time I press the down arrow on the keyboard. I'm not sure how or why this started but I really need to figure out how to get it to stop... because I need to use the down arrow key for the usual down arrow key operations. Any suggestions?
Check System Preferences > Keyboard > Screenshots and see if any shortcuts have changed to the down arrow.
Also, if you have any keyboard mapping software installed, check to see if it was changed there.

Thanks for the very simple solution... it was a shortcut that was added in the system preferences. I unchecked that and now it is back to normal. Cheers!
