I recently got a Mac Studio and I’m considering putting my monitor on top of it to free up some desktop space (and no, it does not fit under the wooden monitor stand as I had hoped). I was wondering if anyone has an estimate or technical specifications about the amount of weight that it is safe to put on top of it. The monitor is about 4 to 5 pounds. (About 2kgs)

That's what I would recommend as well. It seems like it can take 5 pounds of weight just fine, but you don't want to lose the convection cooling off the top of the aluminum body. That requires about 3/4 inch of space.
I would add a couple strips of wood, metal, rubber or something like that to the legs of the wooden display stand so that the Mac Studio will fit under it.
My daughter is 35lbs and she has stepped on mine twice. Not just stepped on it like she stands over it as a stepper or I’m not sure what she thinks she’s doing. But back to question. Both times my Mac has been safe. Now I need to figure a better way to keep it from her.

I keep mine just to the right of the monitor (It just slides under the lower edge of the monitor).
