Bootcamp Win 10 WILL NOT BOOT after upgrading to Montery

So what do I need to do? When I try to boot into Win 10, I get an error that Monterey needs to be reinstalled in Recovery mode, but that does NOTHING. Now what? Since it was a major OS upgrade, does bootcamp need to start over with a new install?

Thanks

So I've gone through multiple re-installs of Monterey using Recovery and Internet Recovery (which is different according to Apple support) and still Bootcamp doesn't work. What I did do was purchase an app called Winclone that allowed me to backup my existing Bootcamp volume.

At that point I opened Bootcamp Assistant that was installed with Monterey and DELETED my Bootcamp volume to start over. Of course this requires finding your Win10 ISO file and license, but a new Bootcamp volume is created from Monterey. Restoring my volume data with Winclone brought everything back.

All this to say, and I believe I had read it somewhere else, Bootcamp DOES NOT LIKE major OS updates, i.e. Big Sur to Monterey, and this will have to be done every time a major upgrade happens. Apple support couldn't confirm that for me, but this is the ONLY thing that solved the problem. I do have Parallels as well, but some firmware upgrade apps I have for my audio equipment doesn't work with Parallels, but everything thinks I'm on a PC when using Bootcamp... it just works better for me.

Hope someone finds this info helpful.
