Can’t remove Find My from airpod pros

I’m using my wife’s AirPods for quite some time now and I kept getting tracking notifications. So I forgot them

from both our phones. Reconnected to her phone, went through iCloud.com>find my>devices clicked remove, while the device was offline, and still got the notifications even though it showed and said it was removed. So reconnected did the same thing through the app on the phone same thing now still getting tracking notifications. I did the removal with her Apple ID on her phone still hasn’t worked. Any ideas?

Hi FAATmofo,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Were the AirPods reset at any point? You can reset them by placing the AirPods into the charging case and closing the lid. Wait about 30 seconds, open the lid, press and hold the setup button on the back for about 15 seconds until the status light flashes amber then white.

Are both your device and your wife's device up to date as well? You can confirm there are no updates to install by going to Settings > General > Software Updates from the iPhone.

Hope that helps!
