Exact issue we are having. We have always had the same phone numbers on our apple id’s and now it’s a totally different number we have never had or used before. Can’t figure it out. It’s very frustrating to say the least.
I also do not recognize the phone number being used for two-factor authentication. My phone number is the only number listed as a trusted phone number but it is not the number being used for two factor.
Having the same Issue myself, I have just spent nearly an hour online with a chat host and still not fixed it, I needed to log into my account for my new phone but number is one I have never used, only option now is to open a new account, just useless as they can't do anything

If you can get a code, sign into your Apple ID and you need to change/add the number on your Apple ID. Look in the Security section when signed in online. You may have to add the new number before you can remove the old number. After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all devices/computers.
