Safaris

Safaris suddenly cannot open the radar portion of weather.com while Google Chrome has no problem accomplishing the same task. This is only the most recent problem with Safaris. Apple is grand otherwise. Why oh why can't it fix its browser??????????????

Everything about weather.com including radar is working on all my Macs. The cause for misbehavior is usually a Safari Extension or similar add-on.

Indeed odd. Try clearing Safari's history and / or removing all data associated with that website.


To remove cookies and related data: Manage cookies and website data in Safari on Mac - Apple Support


  • Remove stored cookies and data: Click Manage Website Data, select one or more websites, then click Remove or Remove All.


To clear history (probably not the problem though): Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Open Safari

Select Preferences under the Safari Menu

Click the Advanced Tab

Check the box at the bottom "Show Develop menu in menu bar"

Close the Preferences

Under the Develop Menu, choose "Empty Caches"

Wait about 5 minutes

Open Safari

Go back under the Preferences

Click the Privacy Tab

Click "Manage Website Data..."

Click "Remove All"

Quit and reopen Safari
