I pay for extra storage via iCloud so why is hard disk full?
Why is my hard disk full when I pay for close services and how do I correct this issue?

iCloud is a syncing service, not an 'external hard drive'. Data in iCloud is also on your hard drive.
If you want storage off your device/computer, try Google Drive or Dropbox.
