It should show in your Sent folder - other than that, there is no proof that it was delivered.If you mail a letter using USPS, there is no proof that it was delivered either. You can ask the recipient if they got it.
Unless you send it return receipt requested 😈 There is no such similar thing for email and even without paying for return receipt you can track physical mail. Email is a chaotic system and tracing is difficult if not impossible.

No, the most logical reason for not getting a reply is the person did not send you one. If you are applying for jobs and they are not replying that would be normal as most businesses only reply to the person they wish to hire. If in the ads they list a phone number with the email you can always call and ask. If you suspect the Craigslist app is not working remove it and install it again.
