Cant run lastest iMovie need old version...??

Computer crashed and installed new drive, now my 2013 27" desktop with OS Mojave is not compatible with newer iMovie programs.

Where can I safely download an old version?

Forget about that Amazon iLife '05 disc as it is 8 years out of date from the iMovie 9.0.9 that you can get as a direct download from Apple.

If you launch the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID as you were using before your drive replacement, and click cmd+0 (zero) to expose the Purchased panel, it may show iMovie among your purchased applications. If a blue outlined cloud with a down arrow appears adjacent to iMovie, and you click that, it may offer to download the last compatible version (10.1.14) for Mojave. If not, you are stuck with iMovie 9.0.9 (32-bit application).

[Update… I see you resolved this via the Mac App Store]

Ok, I do not see the purchased tab.

Okay I wasn't sure when "Purchased" changed. Click your name on the bottom left.

Also, I was going to purchase a disc on eBay..do you know what version would be compatible?

iLife '05 is 17 years old. It's not going to work.

I dreaded buying a new computer after putting money into a new drive and data salvage...just for 1 program!!

THANK YOU!!!
