How do I activate my iPhone if it is unavailable. I have set up the wi-fi, accessed iTunes and download completed but the screen still shows 'iPhone Unavailable'

my iphone unavailble i forgot my password so i put it on i tunes it reset it and updated it but when it finished it just came up like that now i cant turn it off or do anything at all with iit
