Connecting Mac studio display to Mac studio computer
Can you connect the display to the desktop with a USB-C thunderbolt or does it have to be HDMI? There is an HDMI socket on the Mac studio computer but not on the Display .

The Apple Studio Display comes with the Thunderbolt cable that you need to connect it to the Mac Studio.

HDMI was invented for consumer-quality TV sets at 720i. It can be pushed higher, but It is bandwidth-limited.
HDMI 2.0 tops out at "4K" at 60 Hz, short of what that display can achieve..
