Recovering deleted notes app

My notes app was frozen so I deleted it temporarily from my Home Screen thinking I could simply download again from the App Store.

However App Store only gives the option to ‘Open’ the app (where I can see my notes) not download it (see image).

Any thoughts please?

Try this: Use App Library to search Notes app, see this Apple article:

Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone

If you have find the app, tap & hold on the app, then drag to the Home screen & drop it.

Thank you for the screenshot.

Reset the Home Screen Layout:

If widgets are not working as they should, then you need to reset the Home Screen Layout...

Go Here: Move and Organize Apps on iPhone - Apple Support

You'd have to add back all the widgets that you can recall being back on there. So, write down what is currently on the Home Screen.

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout
  5. Then... Add the apps back
