Apple Shortcuts Automation with Eve Energy failed every time

Hello guys, I've created an automation via shortcuts app. If battery level is equal or greater than 80 then the eve energy should turn off. But in this case it doesn't work. Please find attached two screenshots. Can you help me please? Thank you in advance and cheers, Max

Hi mawe94,

Thank you for the clarification. Based on the information, let's try a couple of things.

First, to ensure that we're on the same page, let's use Enable or disable a personal automation in Shortcuts on iPhone or iPad to confirm that the automation is set to run without asking:

  1. In the Shortcuts app on your iOS or iPadOS device, tap Automation .
  2. Tap the automation you want to run automatically.
  3. Turn off Ask Before Running.
  4. Tap Done.

If the automation is set up properly, the next step is to isolate if this is a compatibility issue with the Eve device so that we know where the issue is coming from. To isolate this, set up an automation for 80% battery, but instead of having Eve turn off, have the new automation simply send a notification.

If you get a notification from the test automation successfully, the next step would be to contact the manufacturers of your Eve device for further support.

Thanks!

Hello mawe94,

Let's start here first:

"Add a shortcut from a third-party app

Many apps support adding a shortcut with Siri. Look for the Add to Siri button  while using the app or in the app settings.

  1. Tap Add  or the Add to Siri button   next to a shortcut that you want to add.
  2. Tap Add to Siri.

Third-party apps need to support Siri Shortcuts before you can add them to Siri.

If you don't see a shortcut for a third-party app, check the App Store to see if the app supports Siri Shortcuts. "

We've found this in Run shortcuts with Siri, the Shortcuts app, or Siri Suggestions. We're suggesting this as a first step to see if the Eve app has a shortcut already that you'd be able to use. It seems that they have an automation setting that might help you out too.

If you're still interested in creating the shortcut, use this guide: Create a new home automation in Shortcuts on iPhone or iPad . We're suggesting to delete what you have and use this information in order to set the automation with the Home app.

Let us know if either of these help out!

Kind regards.

Hello mawe94,

In this case, since the issue happens with the Eve app, it may be best to reach out to the developer directly. If you need any help finding their contact information, use the guidance from How to contact an app developer - Apple Support.

You can also contact Apple Support if needed. You can reach out from Get Support or using the direct phone number for your region from Contact Apple for support and service.

Take care.
