dont receive instagram emails

so instagram locked my account “temporarily” because someone reported it as hacked. im trying to verify that it’s me so instagram has to send a verification code through email or phone number. i tried to send the code to both options but nothing is working. does anyone know why i never receive emails from ig?? it’s been happening for a while.
