Mac-studio not supported

Hi,

I get that message when trying to pair my iPad Pro with the mac-studio.

I’m signed up on both with my Apple ID; they both have the latest updates and nothing is blocked.

-any ideas?

Yesterday, I noticed that iCloud was still off.

After I turned it on, everything got solved and the iPad display appeared :)

i now can move my cursor over to the iPad.

Maybe Apple could make those instructions clearer?!

We are not all IT nerds - Just a suggestion ..

Thank you all for your help!!!

For file transfer no pairing is possible nor required.

You can use Airdrop from the iPad, or Universal Control which lets you move the mouse cursor from your Mac onto the iPad and drag an item back to the Mac. Usually these are files in the Files App or photos in the Photos that can be dragged over to the Mac.

Where on your iPad are these music scores exactly? If they are inside the Apple Music App, they cannot be dragged out from there.

If they are in the Files App as regular files, then they can be dragged over to the Mac.

Where exactly are you looking for the iPad on the Mac?

In System Preferences->Displays there should be a drop down button on the bottom left corner if it can detect any nearby devices.

Make sure both the Mac Studio and the iPad are logged in to iCloud with the same Apple ID, and the Apple ID is using Two-Factor Authentication. Link-> Universal Control: Use a single keyboard and mouse between Mac and iPad - Apple Support

thanks for this..

I followed the instructions but the iPad's display is not showing and there is no "add display" button on the Mac-studio's universal controller :/

I tried turning off the universal controller and handoff/cursor, turned the iPad off and put the Mac to sleep, but problem persists..

-any more ideas?..
